After being a hair stylist for more than 30 years, Shauna Ekstrom realized her income possibilities were directly dependent on the number of appointments she booked. This single mother of three wanted more from life — more time with her kids and for herself. She sought a business opportunity that would transform her life while giving her the chance to positively impact others from the inside out.  

In addition to working a 50-60 hour week at her hair salon, Shauna pursued several opportunities in network marketing over a span of 5 years. She loved the personal growth and education that network marketing embraced and she became passionate about its possibilities. Yet she learned that true success in network marketing required a consumable product that sizzles, a solid corporate team and a lucrative 

compensation plan. This critical combination was difficult to find but Shauna was determined to find the “right company with the right product”. 

Shauna continued her pursuit of a network marketing business that was founded on solid principles and that brought more meaning to people’s lives. That’s when she learned of the remarkable story of fellow network marketer Peter Oelmann.  

“Peter lost 31 pounds and seven inches through Isagenix,” Shauna explained. “But even more impressive was the credibility that was so evident.”  Peter and his wife Carole Taylor, both career network marketers, vouched for the product quality and reliable business model. Shauna’s chase was over. She began the Isagenix program herself and in just 28 days, she lost 3 full dress sizes and 17 pounds. She became such a strong believer that she joined the Isagenix team in June 2002 while she continued running her hair salon. 

“Although most people are attracted to Isagenix because of the rapid weight loss, that’s only one benefit” Shauna said. “You will feel so much better, have more energy and feel confident knowing that the products are completely safe. Plus, the business opportunities are mind-boggling.” 

Over the next six years, this entrepreneur put her skills to the test and her persistence paid off. She started building a team in Washington state and later moved to Houston, Texas to continue growing her team. Her teams’ success blossomed. With no ceiling to limit her Isagenix income, Shauna sold her hair salon in 2006 to dedicate herself to a greater quality of life.  

The financial independence that Shauna has earned through Isagenix enabled her to purchase a new home for her mother. She also enjoys fun activities with her grandkids at her Houston high-rise.  

“It’s a dream come true,” Shauna said.  

This tenacious woman developed teams throughout the United States and became the 26th millionaire in the Isagenix business. Now expanding internationally, her team is selling Isagenix even when Shauna is not — a rare occasion. Her three adult children admit being so impacted by the transformation that they saw in their mother that they joined her in the Isagenix adventure.  

“Isagenix presents an equal playing field for all people,” she explained. “I found this to be an unbelievable way to help others feel good about themselves, while making more money than I ever truly imagined.” 

Her excitement and passion for Isagenix continues. Shauna is now seeking rare visionaries who are willing to work for both financial freedom and fun, while contributing to the team’s success. Indicative of Shauna’s mentoring skills, one of her original mentees recently became the 30th millionaire in the company. Shauna
